What's New: XP SP3 Due Out April 29

Microsoft has finished Service Pack 3 for Windows XP, and plans to release it to Windows Update on April 29. Testers have reported that SP3 provides a noticeable speed boost for Windows XP, so users have been anxious to get their hands on the final code. Initially SP3 will be an optional download, but PCs that have Automatic Updates enabled will automatically download SP3 in "early summer," according to Microsoft.
