What's New: One Terabyte Hard Drive

Seagate announced a one terabyte hard drive, for desktop and server applications. The new drive family features five models from 500 GB to 1 TB (1000 GB), and runs with what Seagate says is 20% lower power consumption, with less noise than older, smaller drives.

This means that a RAID array using four of these drives could have up to 3 TB of usable space in one server.
