What's New: Microsoft Equipt - $69.99 Annual Subscription

Microsoft plans to sell a bundle designed for home users for an annual subscription fee of $69.99. The software bundle will be installable on up to three PCs, and contain Office Home and Student 2007 (which includes Word and Excel), Windows Live OneCare, Office Live Workspaces, Windows Live Mail, Live Messenger, and Live Photo. Equipt is designed to compete with free software such as OpenOffice as well as web-based software such as Google Docs. Microsoft Equipt will initially be available only through Circuit City.
