What's New: Remove Blackmal/MyWife Virus Before Tomorrow!
The W32.Blackmal.E@mm (aka W32.MyWife.E@mm) virus is typical of today's viruses, spreading via mass e-mailings and also across a company's network. However its payload is rather nasty...in addition to disabling many antivirus programs, it will also try to do so to other PCs on the network, and on the third day of each month will delete all files with the following extensions:
- *.doc
- *.xls
- *.mdb
- *.mde
- *.ppt
- *.pps
- *.zip
- *.rar
- *.psd
- *.dmp
Of course those clients using our SPIDER service or hosting their e-mail with us won't see much of this virus in their inboxes, since our servers scan for and remove infected mail.
