What's New: Windows Defender to be Part of Vista

Microsoft's long-percolating anti-spyware program, Windows AntiSpyware Beta, will be known as Windows Defender when it debuts in 2006, and will be available to users of Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003. Windows Security Center will warn users if they have no anti-spyware software, but users will be able to disable Defender and use another program if they choose.
