What's New: Samsung Working On 32 GB Flash Memory

Samsung has announced a new flash memory chip technology that should pave the way for removeable flash memory cards up to 32 GB in size. This would allow up to 8,000 MP3 songs or 20 full length DVD movies to fit into portable devices such as a cell phone. As we noted in June, Samsung also hopes to use the new memory technology in solid state hard drives, that are faster than current hard drives.
