What's New: FCC Delays VoIP Cutoff

In an about-face the FCC has granted a one-month reprieve to VoIP providers who would have been forced to cut off service to thousands of customers on Monday, as mentioned in our previous article. The new deadline is September 28. VoIP vendors had complained that cutting off access to 911 service was a poor response if vendors have not been able to reach customers to warn them of the risks of using VoIP for 911 service.
