What's New: Microsoft Enters Phone Market

Microsoft plans to enter the business communications market in 2007 with hardware and software VoIP products as well as videoconferencing devices that tie into Office programs. For example, one might click a name in Word or Outlook and dial that person using a VoIP program and USB or wireless headset. RoundTable, a new conferencing solution, will provide a panoramic view of a conference table, and also zoom in on someone when they begin speaking.
