What's New: Search Engines Out To Get You?

A recent study by antivirus giant McAfee says that 285 million times each month users land on malicious web sites by following search engine links. The study says that Google, MSN, Yahoo!, Ask.com, and AOL even get paid for it -- on average 9 percent of the ads link to rogue web sites, compared to just three percent of links in regular search results.

The study also found that what you search for matters...one example is that when searching for "digital music" and "singers" 72 percent of the results were for malicous web sites.
