We Rescued A Client's Entire Network

Nationally award-winning vacation planning firm Churchill and Turen was in a predicament. They just received only two weeks' notice to vacate their main office space. Luckily they had already been talking to ITS about moving their entire network online. Since staff often worked remotely this was not a large step operationally.

With only that short time remaining, ITS jumped into action. In our data center, we created a complete virtual network to provide a secure environment. We recreated a router/firewall, the server, and a computer for each employee. We temporarily connected the two networks and copied files at night to reduce impact on staff.

Cutover day went smoothly with little impact to operations. Afterwards, the on premises computers were removed for recycling, a few days before the deadline.

The operation resulted in ongoing cost savings, such as office rent and Internet service, as well as future hardware expenses with no more need to replace physical hardware in the office as computers age out or fail. High availability is maintained by ITS's hardware cluster, and backup is now automatic for everything in our data center.

Afterwards, we migrated their email to Microsoft 365 to save on overall licensing costs, given the new licensing required for the virtual computers.

Company owner, Richard Turen, summed up this activity by pointing out:

"Our firm will celebrate its 40th Anniversary next year. ITS has been our primary Tech Support and Innovation Leader for more than three decades. Even when we moved our Corporate Headquarters to Naples, Florida, there was never any thought to replacing ITS and their incredible service team. When we launched our Traveltruth Media Group we were able to design and implement five major websites in-house.

ITS is more than a partner in our success – they are a strategic partner while also being honorary members of the Churchill & Turen Ltd. family. When we were named the top-producing advisers in the $34 Billion Virtuoso Group we knew and we said that we could not have done it without the constant support of ITS. It didn’t surprise us that the migration to Microsoft 365 went smoothy.

They are simply the best at what they do and caring about outcomes is a big part of that success."

That's great to hear and we're happy to have helped!
