Microsoft plans to release service pack 2 for Office 2007 this spring. Unlike SP1 which mostly fixed bugs, SP2 will add new features, including:
- Native support for Adobe's PDF file format and OpenOffice's ODF document format
- Faster performance and "a more reliable" calendar in Outlook
- Improved charting in Excel
- Uninstallation tool for Office 2007 service packs
Previously support for PDF was provided via a downloadable add-in.
