Microsoft announced this week that attempted malware exploits using Java jumped from under 100,000 last year to well over 6 million as of last quarter. The exploits target bugs in older versions of Oracle's Java software. This underlines the need for all users to diligently upgrade software when security updates are released.

Clients with ITS TeamCare have already been upgraded to the latest version of Java that was released earlier this month.
