Note: this page applies to old account types we no longer offer. We have left it up since it may be helpful for someone, since they get a decent amount of search traffic. All current hosting plans with a control panel use Plesk.

Customers can use Java in a couple of forms on our system. It can be run client-side as an applet or JavaScript. They can .class files server-side, through /usr/java/bin/java, as long as they do not run as a daemon or listen on a port. Servlets are not supported on our system and there are no plans to add this functionality at the present time. This would violate the daemon/port rule above.
