Netflix announced today that it will only stock Blu-ray DVDs, and drop their support for the competing HD DVD format. Four of the six major movie production studios support Blu-ray. Netflix will still offer HD DVD rentals through the end of the year, but will not replace any HD DVD discs that reach the end of their life cycle.
