At noon CDT today, Mozilla will release version 3 of their flagship web browser, Firefox, and attempt to set a world record for the number of software downloads in one day.
Firefox 3 promises faster speed (Mozilla claims Google Mail runs twice as fast as version 2), lower memory usage, an improved bookmarking system (with search), a zoom feature for magnifying web pages, and improved password management, including a feature that prompts users to save passwords after they have successfully logged in to a site.
