Speakeasy VoIP: How It Works

Voice over IP connects telephones to your office network, and your office connects to the Internet for both voice and data via Speakeasy.

The phones communicate over the Internet with Speakeasy's network operations center to receive or make calls. Voice is digitized and sent over the Internet in digital packets, and calls to any regular telephone number are connected by Speakeasy. A web portal allows for easy adjustment of features and preferences.
