99.9% Uptime Guarantee
A customer's Web site will be up and available at least 99.9% of the time in any given calendar month, or the customer will receive his or her next month's Web hosting services for free. Please see our Uptime Guarantee page for details.

30 Day Money Back Guarantee
Each of ITS's web hosting plans carries a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied with our services within the first 30 days of your contract, you will be given a full refund of the contract amount excluding setup fees. Please see our Refund Policy for details. SharePoint and Exchange annual accounts are subject to a two-month early termination fee.

Anonymous FTP
Enabling anonymous FTP allows visitors to access your Web site to upload and/or download files without a unique ID and password. By controllable anonymous FTP, we are referring to an environment whereby anonymous access can be limited to specific files and directories.

Autoresponders
An autoresponder will send an automated reply to an incoming e-mail. For example, an autoresponder could be used to send a standard text file to persons addressing info@yourdomain.com or sales@yourdomain.com, or as a notice that a user is on vacation.

CGI script support
All customers have access to a personal cgi-bin or cgi-local directory in which you can place your own custom CGI scripts. CGI scripts are often used to accomplish tasks which are not supported by basic HTML, such as a "hit" counter or guest book. This directory can be used to set up scripts that you write or find elsewhere on the Web. We also offer several pre-written scripts, available free for your use. These include a hit counter, guest book, mail form, discussion forum, and more! Note that CGI scripts must be uploaded to Unix accounts with an FTP program, since FrontPage will not upload using the correct file type. Supported languages include Perl, C, Unix SH, KSH, CSH, and Python for Unix plans, and ActiveState Perl for Windows 2003 plans.  We also support the popular PHP4 scripting language under Unix, and ASP (VBScript or JScript) under Windows 2003 Server.

Control Panel
All users have access to a Web-based Control Panel which allows you to set mail forwarding options, enable/disable anonymous FTP access, view your statistics, change your password and more. It also allows access to other features such as an HTML Form Generator, Web-based HTML editor and Perl script checker. Users can also update account contact information at anytime without having to contact customer support.

CyberCash
CyberCash enables you to securely process credit card transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week to a new global marketplace. CyberCash works with all popular browsers, as well as the majority of Internet hardware, software, servers, communication protocols, and Web store applications.

Data Transfer
In general, any outward-bound traffic from a Web site, with the exception of e-mail, is considered as data transfer. For example, each time a Web page, image, midi file, quicktime video, etc. is loaded, data transfer is generated. Each of our plans includes a generous amount of free data transfer which should be more than enough for most sites. In fact, 99% of our customers operate within their free data transfer allowance. Additional data transfer beyond the threshold will incur a small charge.

Disk Storage Space
Disk storage space refers to the amount of server disk storage specifically allocated to your account. This space is used to store your html files, graphics, audio clips, POP mail messages, pdfs, and other files that make up your Web site. Each of our plans includes a specified allotment of disk storage space, but additional space can be purchased if desired.

Domain Name Registration
Our Web hosting accounts allow you to have your own Web address or "domain name" (eg: www.yourname.com). We can handle most domain name registrations or transfers on your behalf. You can now register your domain name with ITS for just $20 per year, payable every two years. This represents a savings of up to 40% off Network Solutions' rates. If your domain is registered elsewhere this annual fee does not apply.

We can also host non-U.S. domain names as well once they are registered with another registrar. We can provide you with the appropriate nameserver and technical contact information to assist you in registering a domain name yourself and pointing it to our servers.

You can also have additional domain names point to your account for a small additional charge with a Domain Pointer, or host multiple web sites on one account using our Advanced Hosting plans.

FrontPage
We can install Microsoft FrontPage extensions for your account. This allows you to use the Microsoft FrontPage program to create and maintain your Web site. You may request that FrontPage extensions be installed within your Web site when placing an order for domain Web hosting services, or you may contact our support department to have them installed at a later date. Microsoft provides direct support for all FrontPage users.

FTP Access
You will have unlimited access to your account via FTP 24-hours a day to set up and maintain your Web site. You can work on HTML documents, graphics, and scripts locally, then upload files to your Web site when ready. An FTP tutorial and client software is available in our online support. Most plans support anonymous FTP downloads, and our Shared Signature and Advanced Hosting accounts add the ability to have separate FTP accounts for users or clients.

HtDig Site Search Engine
HtDig is an excellent search engine. It gives your Web site advanced search capabilities, allowing visitors to search your Web site using keywords or boolean searches. For an example, see the search page on this site.

Mail Forwarding
Once your domain name is active worldwide, you can receive all e-mail addressed to your domain such as webmaster@yourname.com, sales@yourname.com, etc. By default, all e-mail addressed to your domain will forward to your real e-mail address provided by your local Internet service provider (ISP). For convenience, specific mail forwarding options are available if you need specific addresses each to be forwarded to different addresses on the Internet. For example, e-mail addressed to webmaster@yourname.com could forward to an account at AOL, but sales@yourname.com could forward to an MSN account.

MySQL Database Server
MySQL is a lightweight database engine designed to provide fast access to stored data. We provide the tools to create a searchable database. In most instances, custom programming (commonly Perl or PHP) is needed to implement a fully functional Web-to-database interface.

POP Accounts
In addition to mail forwarding, users have the option to retrieve e-mail directly from POP3 mailboxes on the mail server using an e-mail program such as PMMail or Eudora. Each of our plans includes a Master POP account which can receive all e-mail and control the settings for any optional configurable POP accounts. Each of our plans also offers a specified number of configurable POP accounts. The additional POPs can be assigned unique IDs and passwords to ensure privacy.

RealAudio™
Progressive Networks' RealAudio system is a client-server based streaming media delivery system for the Internet. Providers of news, entertainment, sports, and business content can create and deliver audio-based streaming multimedia content through the Internet to audiences worldwide. We not only provide the server extensions but also include step-by-step instructions to include RealAudio in your Web pages.

SSL Secure Server
SSL (Secure Socket Layer) allows users to collect data, such as credit card information, in a secure environment. Information submitted via a secure form is sent to the server in an encrypted mode. Users may choose to research methods such as encrypted e-mail (PGP), CyberCash, or other solution for retrieving such information from their Web sites. UNIX plans allow you to either use a shared certificate or purchase your own certificate; however FrontPage users and those with Windows 2003 hosting plans must purchase their own certificate. A shared certificate references the server name instead of your domain name.

Statistics
We give you a choice of using Urchin, Analog, or other packages to track your Web usage statistics, such as what domains are accessing your Web site, how many "hits" you are getting, what pages visitors view, data transfer, and more. In addition, most plans give you direct access to your raw log files so you can analyze your statistics with other programs.  For more information please see our page describing  the Usage Statistics Software available. Customers using Shared Basic/Plus plans and Windows 2003 hosting plans may use Urchin or other statistics packages to analyze log files.

Virus Scanning
Automatic scanning of incoming e-mails for viruses will help prevent infections and unnecessary warnings from your users' antivirus software.

Volano Chat ™
Volano Chat is a real-time, live chat interface you can quickly and easily add to your Web site. It is written in Java so it is compatible with the vast majority of Web browsers without the need for any plug-ins.

Web Mail
Web Mail allows users with POP3 accounts to log in from any web browser to read, reply to, send, and manage e-mail from an easy-to-use interface complete with on-line help. The system supports multiple folders, including Sent Items and Trash folders. A custom signature and reply-to address round out the feature set.
